AEROBICS

A new 8-week session of Aerobics began Thursday, June 17th. They meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 PM in the Activity Room. Cost is $35 for the entire session.

WOMEN ON MISSION

WOM will meet Monday, June 21, at 10:00 AM in the Conference Room.

THANK-YOU NOTES

We have received many thank-you notes this week, which have been posted on the bulletin board outside the Sanctuary. Notes are from several Frances Nungester teachers, Scarlett Guyse, and Brently Nelson.

DEACON NOMINATION

Throughout the month of June, the church will be receiving recommendations for men to serve as deacons. Forms may be picked up at the Welcome Center. There is no limit to the number of men you may recommend. Forms should be dropped off in the box located at the Welcome Center.

READING CONTEST

The library is sponsoring a summer reading contest during the month of June for students who have just completed the 1st through 8th grades. A $20 gift card from either Wal-Mart, Target, or Books-A-Million (winner’s choice) will be awarded to one student from each grade who reads the most pages. Entry forms are available in the church library.

BONE MARROW SCREENING

Sunday, June 27, from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall, you will have the opportunity to be screened by “Be The Match” National Bone Marrow Donor Program. You could be the one to give hope to one of our own Parkview members, Stephanie Bonner. Sign up at the Information Table if you would like to participate in this event.

INDEPENDENCE DAY PICNIC

Next Sunday, June 27, Parkview will have our annual Independence Day Picnic. This year’s picnic will be at Point Mallard Water Park. There will be a free cookout from 5:30—6:30 PM outside the water park (you will need to bring your own drinks.) We will then have exclusive access to the Point Mallard Water Park from 6:30—9:30 PM. You must purchase tickets if you plan to enter the water park (even if you don’t plan to swim). Tickets are $5 per person and are on sale at the Welcome Center. Tickets will not be sold at the event. Again, you do not have to purchase a ticket if you are only attending the cookout, but please sign up at the Welcome Center so we can plan accordingly for food (don’t forget to bring your own drinks.)

Parkview has a new T-shirt available! T-shirts cost $9 each (additional $1.50 for 2X and 3X sizes). To view the T-shirt and place an order, please stop by the Information Table. Payment is due with placement of order. Today is the last day to order.

SENIOR ADULT TRIP

On Tuesday, July 20, the Keenagers will be taking a trip to The Red Rooster in Cullman for lunch. We will leave the church at 10:30 AM and return around 2:00 PM. Please sign up at the Information Table if you would like to attend.

STUDENT LIFE CAMP MEETING

All students, parents and chaperones attending Student Life Camp this summer will meet this Wednesday, June 23, at 6:30 PM in the Fieldhouse. Please bring insurance cards.

SMALL GROUP SERIES

Every Sunday during the month of June, middle school will meet at 9:00 AM and high school will meet at 10:30 AM in the Fieldhouse.

SCHOLARSHIPS

The student ministry is in need of scholarships for Student Life Camp this summer. Scholarships are $50 each. Please see Joey Tucker for more information.
